MonitoringLocationDescriptionText All field work was conducted within seagrass beds at Big Lagoon, Perdido Key, Escambia County, Florida, USA. Perdido Bay is a shallow, brackishwater inlet which is influenced by seasonal shifts in prevailing winds and freshwater effluent from the adjacent mainland. The area is unique because monospecific beds of three seagrass species (Halodule wrightii, Syringodium filiforme, and Thalassia testudinum) are present.
