THE STATION IS LOCATED AT COTTONWOOD CREEK DOWNSTREAM OF JENNY LAKE AND IS WITHIN GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK. DATA WERE COLLECTED BY DR. GORDON MCFETERS (MONTANA STATE UNIVERSITY) AND WERE PRESENTED IN A SERIES OF REPORTS TITLED "MICROBIAL STUDIES OF A HIGH ALPINE WATER SUPPLY USED FOR RECREATION." THE STUDY WAS CONDUCTED DURING THE SUMMERS OF 1972 THROUGH 1975. ALL DATA UPLOADED TO STORET WERE INTERPRETED FROM FIGURES IN THE REPORTS.
