THE SITE IS AT MORRIS GULCH SPRING IN GREAT SAND DUNES NATIONAL MONUMENT APPROXIMATELY 1/2 MILE SOUTHEAST OF THE VISITOR CENTER. SAMPLING FOR THIS SITE WAS DONE IN MAY 1964 BY THE UNITED STATES GEOLOGICAL SURVEY WATER RESOURCES DIVISION IN DENVER COLORADO. THE RESULTS ARE IN THE 1997 REPORT "WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT PLAN GREAT SAND DUNES NATIONAL MONUMENT COLORADO" BY MARK CHATMAN; DAVID SHARROW; AND ANDREW VALDEZ.
