THE SITE IS AT THE NORTH BOARDWALK ON MEDANO CREEK IN GREAT SAND DUNES NATIONAL MONUMENT APPROXIMATELY 1/2 MILE NORTHWEST OF THE VISITOR CENTER. SAMPLING FOR THIS SITE WAS DONE FROM JUNE 1995 THROUGH OCTOBER 1995 BY SLV ANALYTICAL SERVICES IN ALAMOSA COLORADO AT THE REQUEST OF THE NATIONAL MONUMENT WITH FUNDING FROM FRIENDS OF THE DUNES. SAMPLES WERE ANALYZED FOR FECAL COLIFORM. THE DATA ARE BEING COLLECTED BY GREAT SAND DUNES NATIONAL MONUMENT; AND ARE NOT PUBLISHED IN ANY REPORTS.
