THE SITE IS ON MOSCA CREEK IN GREAT SAND DUNES NATIONAL MONUMENT APPROXIMATELY 1/2 MILE NORTHEAST OF THE VISITOR CENTER. THIS SITE IS THE SAME AS GRSA_BOR_MOSCA. SAMPLING FOR THIS SITE WAS DONE FROM DECEMBER 27 1990 THROUGH JANUARY 7 1993 BY SLV ANALYTICAL SERVICES IN ALAMOSA COLORADO AT THE REQUEST OF THE NATIONAL MONUMENT WITH FUNDING BY FRIENDS OF THE DUNES. THE RESULTS ARE IN THE 1997 REPORT "WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT PLAN GREAT SAND DUNES NATIONAL MONUMENT COLORADO" BY MARK CHATMAN; DAVID SHARROW; AND ANDREW VALDEZ.
