MonitoringLocationDescriptionText The station is located on the DEER LODGE, MONTANA 1:24000 scale series topographic quadrangle. The site, described as a stream, was retrieved from the online USGS OpenFile Report 97492, 'National Geochemical Database, Reformatted Data from the National Uranium Resource Evaluation (NURE) Hydrogeochemical and Stream Sediment Reconnaissance (HSSR) Program' Version 1.4 (2006). The 'LASLID' (Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory Site Identification Number) field entry was used to create the Station Name. LASL sites and samples were initially assigned a 6digit integer LASLID. After the Department of Energy required reporting format was changed from a state or study area basis to a quadrangle basis in 1977 LASL sites were given a new 1letter+5digit number. Many of the early LASL files still have the 6digit integer LASLID numbers. This site was reported with two different LASLID numbers, the 1 letter+5 digit number (M24152) and also the 6digit integer LASLID (300232). Sediment analyses for uranium were performed on several particle size ranges.
