| MonitoringLocationDescriptionText | The beaver pond slough area sampled was located just west of the road that parallels the railroad tracks, and southeast of the Deer Lodge sewage disposal ponds. This was a wetland area, with beaver dams creating areas of open water up to about 1.0 m in depth. Substrate was primarily silt and aquatic macrophytes were abundant. We sampled a 300m long linear ditch portion of this area that was apparently created by excavation for the roadbed immediately east of the wetland. The upstream end of the reach is located at latitude 46.42001 and longitude 112.73757 and the downstream end of the reach is located at latitude 46.42268 and longitude 112.73701. The given latitude and longitude is the middle of the reach. |
