MonitoringLocationDescriptionText Horn Creek Spring is located on the South Rim, within the boundary of Grand Canyon National Park. The spring discharges from the gradational contact of the Tapeats and Bright Angel Shale in the Horn Creek Basin near the Tonto Trail. Samples were collected as close as possible to the point of evolution from the ground. Actual station establishment date reported to STORET is estimated at the middle of the month because researchers gave only the month, and not the actual date, of station visits.
