MonitoringLocationDescriptionText The Clearwell Overflow is within the boundary of Grand Canyon National Park and is located approximately 0.9 miles from the South Rim. Clearwell Overflow is a wash which is the surface expression of the Bright Angel Fault and which receives discharge from the Grand Canyon Sewer Treatment Plant. The site is located at the point where the Clearwell overflow receives discharge from the Grand Canyon Sewer Treatment Plant. Samples were collected near the outfall pipe of the GRCA Sewer Treatment Plant in Clearwell Overflow. Actual station establishment date reported to STORET is estimated at the middle of the month because researchers gave only the month, and not the actual date, of station visits.
