MonitoringLocationDescriptionText Nankoweap Twin Spring is the lower spring issuing from Precambrian schist 2.5 miles upstream from the Colorado River in Nankoweap Canyon. The site is within the boundary of Grand Canyon National Park, in the northeast portion of the park. The site is one of 56 stations monitored at four national park units in a survey of springs along the Colorado River by John Spence during 1997 and 1998.
