MonitoringLocationDescriptionText Roaring Springs are located within the boundary of Grand Canyon National Park in the upper reaches of Bright Angel Creek on the North Rim. The site is located at the inlet for Grand Canyon water Pipeline. Water from Roaring Springs is pumped from the North Rim through a transcanyon pipeline to supply Grand Canyon Village on the South Rim. The location and elevation (5177 ft.) are for database only and not intended for locating the site for any other purpose. The location was estimated using TOPO program software set to NAD83 datum. Station description information was provided by Grand Canyon National Park staff.
