MonitoringLocationDescriptionText 177Mile Spring is located at Colorado River Mile 117 at river right. The site is at a pourover from the Tapeats Sandstone, approximately 50 ft high. The spring source is above the pourover and water also discharges along bedding planes in the Tapeats Sandstone, depositing large and ornate salt formations. Station description information was provided by Grand Canyon National Park staff.
