New WQX 3.0 profiles are available at waterqualitydata.us/beta/. These profiles will contain recent USGS data added since March 11, 2024, which marks the beginning of limited accessibility for USGS data. Read more about the 3.0 profiles and associated changes here. This user interface only serves WQX2.2 profiles, which do NOT contain USGS data added after March 11, 2024.

MonitoringLocationDescriptionText Pumphouse Spring (also known as Two Trees Spring) is about 100 m to the east and 50 m up the slope from the NPS Indian Gardens pump station. Spring water first emerges from beneath a large boulder that is about 3 m upslope from two prominent Fremont cottonwood trees. The spring discharges from hillslope alluvium overlying the Bright Angel Shale and is in the northeaststriking Bright Angel Fault zone. Water samples were collected near the boulder, and discharge was measured volumetrically by constructing a temporary weir directly below that point. The site is within the boundary of Grand Canyon National Park. The USGS site ID is 360441112073201.
