THE SITE IS NEAR BAKER LAKE APPROXIMATELY 40 METERS SW OF THE BAKW SITE AND IS LOCATED WITHIN THE GREAT BASIN NATIONAL PARK (GRBA) BOUNDARY. THIS SAMPLE REPRESENTS MELTWATER COLLECTED UNDER DENSE SNOW. THE DATA ARE FROM SEVERAL YEARLY REPORTS (199097) BY KURT PFAFF; PHYSICAL SCIENCE TECHNICIAN FOR GRBA. A SURFACE WATER QUALITY MONITORING PROGRAM WAS INSTITUTED TO ACQUIRE DATA FROM THE PARK WATERS ON A SEMIANNUAL BASIS. DATA ARE INTEGRATED INTO THE PARK'S WATER RESOURCE MANAGEMENT PLAN IN ORDER TO PERPETUATE THE INHERENT NATURAL INTEGRITY OF ITS WATERDEPENDENT ENVIRONMENTS.
