MonitoringLocationDescriptionText THE STATION IS LOCATED ON THE GARRISON UTNV 7.5 MINUTE SERIES (TOPO.) QUADRANGLE. THE SITE IS LOCATED AT SNAKE CREEK APPROXIMATELY 3.5 MILES EAST OF THE GREAT BASIN NATIONAL PARK BOUNDARY. THE DATA ARE FROM A BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT REPORT; "WATER QUALITY SAMPLING IN THE SCHELL ES AREA WHITE PINE COUNTY NEVADA;" 1979. THE STUDY WAS CONDUCTED TO ASSESS WATER QUALITY OF SEVERAL STREAMS LOCATED ON PUBLIC LANDS IN EASTERN NEVADA. FURTHER SAMPLING WAS CONDUCTED BY THE BLM IN 1981 AND RESULTS WERE COMPARED TO THOSE IN THIS STUDY. THE 1981 WATER QUALITY DATA ALSO HAVE BEEN UPLOADED TO STORET BY THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE.
