THE SITE IS AT BLUE CREEK ((B105)5bab) AT THE SECONDARY ROUTE 504 BRIDGE; WHICH IS OUTSIDE THE BOUNDARIES OF GOLDEN SPIKE NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE; APPROXIMATELY 5 MILES EAST OF THE VISITOR CENTER. THE DATA ARE FROM THE 1972 REPORT "HYDROLOGIC RECONNAISSANCE OF BLUE CREEK VALLEY AREA; BOX ELDER COUNTY; UTAH"; BY J.W. HOOD; TECHNICAL PUBLICATION NO. 37; STATE OF UTAH; DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES. THE REPORT WAS PREPARED BY THE U.S. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY IN COOPERATION WITH THE UTAH DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES. THE PURPOSE OF THE REPORT WAS THREEFOLD: (1) TO PRESENT HYDROLOGIC DATA FOR THE BLUE CREEK VALLEY AREA; (2) TO PROVIDE AN EVALUATION OF THE POTENTIAL WATER RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT OF THE AREA; AND (3) TO IDENTIFY NEEDED STUDIES THAT WOULD IMPROVE THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE AREA'S WATER SUPPLY.
