| MonitoringLocationDescriptionText | THE STATION IS LOCATED ON THE SAN GERONIMO CALIFORNIAMARIN CO. 7.5 MINUTE SERIES (TOPOGRAPHIC) QUADRANGLE. THE SITE IS ONE OF THREE ARTIFICIAL SPAWNING REDDS THAT WAS CONSTRUCTED ON LAGUNITAS CREEK APPROXIMATELY 1/4 MILE DOWNSTREAM OF JEWELL. THE REDD WAS CONSTRUCTED ON 19 APRIL 1990. PRIOR TO CLEANING THE GRAVELS; A PERFORATED STANDPIPE WAS DRIVEN 10 INCHES INTO THE UNDISTURBED GRAVELS AND THE INTRAGRAVEL D.O. READING WAS TAKEN. A HAND PUMP WAS USED TO PUMP WATER FROM THE STANDPIPE UNTIL THE WATER RAN MODERATELY CLEAR; AND D.O. WAS MEASURED ON 5; 8; AND 15 MAY 1990. THE RESULTS ARE IN "HABITAT RECOMMENDATIONS FOR LAGUNITAS CREEK" BY DON KELLEY & ASSOCIATES AND ENTRIX INC. (FEBRUARY 1992).
