THE SITE IS ON NORTH LAKE MERCED APPROXIMATELY 1 MILE WEST OF STONESTOWN AND IS OUTSIDE THE GOLDEN GATE NATIONAL RECREATION AREA BOUNDARIES. THE EXACT SAMPLING LOCATION WAS NOT SPECIFIED IN THE REPORT; SO THE APPROXIMATE CENTER OF THE LAKE WAS DIGITIZED TO DETERMINE THE LATITUDE AND LONGITUDE. SAMPLES WERE COLLECTED ON 11 APRIL 1955; 19 DECEMBER 1958; AND 5 JUNE 1972. THE RESULTS ARE IN "LIMNOLOGICAL DATA FROM SELECTED LAKES IN THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY REGION; CALIFORNIA" BY LINDA BRITTON; RODGER F. FERREIRA; AND ROBERT C.
