THE SITE IS AT REDWOOD CREEK AT THE MUIR BEACH PARKING LOT AND IS OUTSIDE THE GOLDEN GATE NATIONAL RECREATION AREA BOUNDARIES. LATITUDE AND LONGITUDE COORDINATES WERE DETERMINED AT THE NEAREST AREA OF OPEN CANOPY USING A HANDHELD MAGELLAN GPS MERIDIAN. SAMPLES FOR THIS SITE WERE COLLECTED FROM 7 MARCH 1994 THROUGH 25 APRIL 1994 AND THE RESULTS ARE IN "REDWOOD CREEK AQUATIC MONITORING REPORT FEBRUARYMAY 1994" BY M. PODLECH; R.J. BROWN; AND D. KARENTZ (INSTITUTE OF CHEMICAL BIOLOGYUNIVERSITY OF SAN FRANCISCO; SEPTEMBER 1994).
