MonitoringLocationDescriptionText The Dark Canyon Stream site is inside the Glen Canyon NRA. The canyon contains an ephemeral stream with flash flood tendencies. The latitude and longitude coordinates were estimated using a digital quadrangle map (Terrain Navigator Pro). Dark Canyon Stream is one of 56 stations monitored at four national park units in a survey of springs along the Colorado River by John Spence during 1997 and 1998.
