Water samples were collected at the Clay Hills Crossing boat launch ramp in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. The San Juan River is the second largest inflow to Glen Canyon and Lake Powell. Agricultural and industrial activities occur currently or have occurred historically in the San Juan River watershed. The San Juan River corridor supports riparian, wetland, and spring habitats and associated fauna. These resources are important to wildlife in the arid southwest.
