THE STATION IS LOCATED AT THE WANDO RIVER AT ITS CONFLUENCE WITH THE COOPER RIVER AND IS OUTSIDE OF FORT SUMTER NATIONAL MONUMENT. THE DATA ARE FROM THE REPORT "A PHYSICAL AND ECOLOGICAL CHARACTERIZATION OF THE CHARLESTON HARBOR ESTUARINE SYSTEM;" MAY 1990. THE DATA WERE COLLECTED BY H.N. MCKELLAR ET AL. FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA AND WERE GIVEN IN CHAPTER 4 OF THE ABOVE REPORT. THIS STUDY WAS FUNDED BY THE SOUTH CAROLINA COASTAL COUNCIL AS PART OF A COMPREHENSIVE SURVEY PROGRAM OF CHARLESTON HARBOR AND ITS CONTRIBUTING RIVER BASINS.
