THE STATION IS LOCATED AT THE WANDO RIVER APPROXIMATELY 16.1 MILES FROM THE MOUTH AND IS OUTSIDE OF THE FORT SUMTER NATIONAL MONUMENT BOUNDARIES. THE DATA ARE FROM THE REPORT "A PHYSICAL AND ECOLOGICAL CHARACTERIZATION OF THE CHARLESTON HARBOR ESTUARINE SYSTEM;" MAY 1990. THE DATA WERE COLLECTED BY KEVIN B. DAVIS ET AL. FROM THE MARINE RESOURCES RESEARCH INSTITUTE; CHARLESTON SC; AND WERE REPORTED IN CHAPTER 3 OF THE ABOVE REPORT. THIS STUDY WAS FUNDED UNDER GRANT #NA87AADCZ068 THROUGH THE SOUTH CAROLINA COASTAL COUNCIL AS PART OF A COMPREHENSIVE SURVEY PROGRAM OF CHARLESTON HARBOR AND ITS CONTRIBUTING RIVER BASINS.
