THE SITE IS LOCATED AT THE FRONT SAVANNAH RIVER AT THE US HIGHWAY 17 BRIDGE. SAMPLES WERE COLLECTED BY THE U.S. FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE AS PART OF A MULTIAGENCY SAMPLING EFFORT. DATA ARE FROM THE GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES REPORT "RELEASE OF 7500 CURIES OF TRITIUM TO THE SAVANNAH RIVER FROM THE SAVANNAH RIVER SITE" (JAMES HARDEMAN JR.; JANUARY 1992).
