THIS SITE IS LOCATED WITHIN THE BOUNDARY OF FORT PULASKI NATIONAL MONUMENT AND IS LOCATED AT CUT OYSTER CREEK TO BULL RIVER. OYSTER CREEK DRAINS A SALTWATER MARSH IN THE PARK AND IS CLASSIFIED AS A CLASS I AREA FOR THE PUBLIC HARVESTING OF SHELLFISH. THE GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES HAS CONDUCTED REGULAR WATER QUALITY MONITORING OF FECAL COLIFORM BACTERIA AT THIS SITE SINCE 1986.
