THE STATION IS LOCATED AT THE FLR "34" BUOY APPROXIMATELY 0.55 MILES SOUTHWEST OF HOWELL'S CREEK IN THE GREAT SOUTH BAY OF THE ATLANTIC OCEAN. WATER QUALITY DATA WERE COLLECTED AT THIS SITE BETWEEN 19771997. DATA ARE FROM THE SUFFOLK COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICE (SCDHS) OFFICE OF ECOLOGY SURFACE WATER QUALITY MONITORING DATABASE.
