THE STATION IS LOCATED IN WHAT IS KNOWN AS NAVIGATION POOL 10; WHICH IS THE PART OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER THAT EXTENDS FROM GUTTENBERG IOWA AT LOCK AND DAM 10 NORTHWARD TO LOCK AND DAM 9 NEAR LYNXVILLE WISCONSIN. THE UTM (ZONE 15) COORDINATES FOR THIS SITE ARE 655487 (EASTING) AND 4746039 (NORTHING). THIS STATION IS OUTSIDE OF THE EFFIGY MOUNDS NATIONAL MONUMENT BOUNDARIES. DATA WERE COLLECTED BY BOB KENNEDY AND PETER RUST DURING A PADDLE FISH RESEARCH PROJECT FOR THE UPPER MIDWEST ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES CENTER (USGS) IN LACROSSE WISCONSIN.
