THE SITE IS LOCATED AT AN UNNAMED TRIBUTARY OF SNY MAGILL CREEK AT THE CLAYTON COUNTY ROAD BRIDGE AND IS OUTSIDE OF THE EFFIGY MOUNDS NATIONAL MONUMENT BOUNDARIES. THE DATA ARE FROM A REPORT BY THE UNIVERSITY OF IOWA; UNIVERSITY HYGIENIC LABORATORY (DES MOINES BRANCH) "SUMMER WATER QUALITY SURVEY OF THE BLOODY RUN CREEK AND SNY MAGILL CREEK BASINS" (REPORT #7914) DECEMBER 1978. THIS STUDY WAS CONDUCTED FOR THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY TO OBTAIN INFORMATION ON THESE TWO CREEKS DUE TO THEIR ANTIDEGRADATION STATUS AND INCLUSION IN THE STATE OF IOWA'S TROUT STOCKING PROGRAM.
