THE RIVER WAS SAMPLED AS PART OF THE COLORADO FISHERY PROJECT; WHICH INCLUDED A 124 MILE SECTION OF THE YAMPA RIVER AND A 26 MILE SECTION OF THE GREEN RIVER. DATA ARE FROM 1) THE FILES DINO.DBF AND DINO.TXT AND 2) THE 1982 "YAMPA RIVER FISHES STUDY; FINAL REPORT" (U.S. FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE; 1311 FEDERAL BUILDING; 125 SOUTH STATE BUILDING; SALT LAKE CITY; UTAH 84138). THE PROJECT LEADER WAS WILLIAM H. MILLER. THE LATITUDE AND LONGITUDE VALUES OF EACH STATION WERE DETERMINED BY TRACING THE RIVER IN THE ATLAS GIS PROGRAM TO THE SPECIFIED RIVER MILE AND ENTERING THE COORDINATES PROVIDED BY THE PROGRAM.
