| MonitoringLocationDescriptionText | This station is a combination of three small tributary springs and wetlands located at an elevation between 6480 feet and 6490 feet. Spring H consists of a 0.51 meter wide low gradient channel in the valley floor area of Sun Creek. It emerges from the base of the east slope and travels 75 meters to Sun Creek. Spring G is a large volume cold spring that surface on the east slope of Sun Creek and flows down to Sun Creek over a distance of 50 to 75 meters. Tributary E consists of a low volume 1st order stream channel that drains a wooded wetland area on the east slope of Sun Creek just below the wetland seeps H and G. Results for all three areas were combined into one station by the author. The station description was based on a station visit that occurred during October 1990. |
