| MonitoringLocationDescriptionText | The station is located at an elevation of 5640 feet on the mainstem of Annie Creek. Above the site, Munson Creek and Annie Creek come together to form a 3 to 4 meter wide channel that is 10 to 25 centimeters deep. The east slope is steep, bare, loosely consolidated volcanic pumice soils. Perched wetlands are present at the bottom of the west slope. Small channels and seeps drain water from these wetlands into Annie creek. Stream banks are composed of gravel and the stream bed is cobble, pumice rubble and large gravel, tightly embedded in sand and gravel. The station description was based on station visits that occurred during September 1990. |
