| MonitoringLocationDescriptionText | The site is located at a USGS gaging station on Annie Creek (USGS 424550122032700 ANNIE CREEK ABOVE SUN CREEK). Riparian overstory consists of mature mixed forest of Douglas fir, lodgepole pine, and cottonwoods, partially shading the channel. The understory includes scattered patches of willow, alder, and other shrubs. Stream banks are 0.5 meters high and composed of volcanic soil. The stream channel is 5 to 8 meters wide, 20 to 30 centimeters deep, and has a substrate of gravel overlaying sand and gravel. The station description was based on station visits that occurred during September 1990. |
