MonitoringLocationDescriptionText THE SITE IS LOCATED ON THE SULPHUR SOUTH OKLAHOMA 7.5 MINUTE SERIES (TOPOGRAPHIC) QUADRANGLE. THE SITE IS ON THE BUCKHORN CREEK BRANCH OF ARBUCKLE RESERVOIR. THE STUDY SHOWED STATION AE AS A TRANSECT IN THE BUCKHORN CREEK BRANCH WITH SAMPLES TAKEN AT 8 DIFFERENT DEPTHS ALONG THE TRANSECT. THIS TRANSECT WAS DIVIDED INTO 8 DIFFERENT STATIONS BY DRAWING A LINE ALONG THE BUCKHORN CREEK BRANCH AND ESTIMATING WHERE EACH STATION WOULD BE. THIS STATION IS AT A DEPTH OF 2 METERS. FUNDING FOR THIS STUDY WAS PROVIDED BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR. THE RESULTS ARE IN THE 1975 REPORT "EFFECTS OF ARTIFICIAL DESTRATIFICATION ON POPULATIONS OF BENTHIC MACROINVERTEBRATES AND ZOOPLANKTON IN HAM'S LAKE AND ARBUCKLE RESERVOIR" BY JERRY WILHM. FOR INFORMATION ON CHICKASAW NATIONAL RECREATION AREA CONTACT RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AT CHICKASAW NRA P.O. BOX 201 SULPHUR OK 73086. TEL (405) 6223165.
