| MonitoringLocationDescriptionText | THE SITE IS LOCATED ON THE CONNERVILLE NE OKLAHOMAJOHNSTON CO. 7.5 MINUTE SERIES (TOPO.) QUAD. THE SITE IS AT DEADMANS SPRING NEXT TO LITTLE DELAWARE CREEK APPROXIMATELY 1.6 MILES SOUTH OF PILGRIM CEMETERY AND 1.1 MILES WEST OF AN UNNAMED RESERVOIR. THE SPRING IS DESCRIBED AS A "CONTACT" SPRING. SAMPLES FOR THE SITE WERE COLLECTED JANUARY 5 1977 DURING A STUDY CONDUCTED BY THE UNITED STATES GEOLOGICAL SURVEY (USGS) IN COOPERATION WITH THE OKLAHOMA GEOLOGICAL SURVEY (OGS). THE DATA WERE PUBLISHED IN THE 1990 REPORT "HYDROLOGY OF THE ARBUCKLE MOUNTAINS AREA; SOUTHCENTRAL OKLAHOMA" BY ROY W. FAIRCHILD; RONALD L. HANSON; AND ROBERT E. DAVIS. THE LATITUDE AND LONGITUDE COORDINATE VALUES FOR THE SITE WERE OBTAINED BY DIGITIZING A POINT THAT MATCHED THE SITE TYPE AND THE SITE'S TOWNSHIP; RANGE; AND QUARTERQUARTERQUARTER SECTION LOCATION (SECSTA1) AS ILLUSTRATED IN FIGURE 2 OF THE REPORT.
