MonitoringLocationDescriptionText THE SITE IS LOCATED ON THE SULPHUR SOUTH OKLAHOMA 7.5 MINUTE SERIES (TOPOGRAPHIC) QUADRANGLE. THE SITE IS ON THE BUCKHORN CREEK BRANCH OF ARBUCKLE RESERVOIR APPROXIMATELY HALFWAY BETWEEN THE DAM AND WHERE BUCKHORN CREEK ENTERS THE RESERVOIR. SAMPLES FOR THIS SITE WERE TAKEN FROM 2 AND 15FOOT DEPTHS AND WERE ANALYZED FOR SEVERAL CONSTITUENTS. ONLY METALS DATA WERE UPLOADED FOR THIS STUDY BECAUSE ALL OTHER PARAMETERS WERE AVERAGES OF SAMPLES TAKEN FROM SEVERAL DIFFERENT. STATIONS. THE STUDY WAS CONDUCTED BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR OFFICE OF WATER RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY. THE RESULTS ARE IN A 1979 REPORT "LOW ENERGY MECHANICAL DESTRATIFICATION AND REAERATION OF RESERVOIRS" BY JAMES E. GARTON; JERRY WILHM; AND DEBORAH BARKER. FOR INFORMATION ON CHICKASAW NATIONAL RECREATION AREA CONTACT RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AT CHICKASAW NRA P.O. BOX 201 SULPHUR OK 73086. TEL (405) 6223165.
