MonitoringLocationDescriptionText THE SITE IS LOCATED ON THE DOUGHERTY OKLAHOMA 7.5 MINUTE SERIES (TOPOGRAPHIC) QUADRANGLE. THE SITE IS ON ARBUCKLE RESERVOIR IN THE CENTRAL POOL NEAR THE DAM. SAMPLES FOR THIS SITE WERE TAKEN FROM A DEPTH OF 24 FEET AND WERE ANALYZED FOR SEVERAL CONSTITUENTS. ONLY METALS DATA WERE UPLOADED FOR THIS STUDY BECAUSE ALL OTHER PARAMETERS WERE AVERAGES OF SAMPLES TAKEN FROM SEVERAL DIFFERENT STATIONS. THE STUDY WAS CONDUCTED BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR OFFICE OF WATER RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY. THE RESULTS ARE IN A 1979 REPORT "LOW ENERGY MECHANICAL DESTRATIFICATION AND REAERATION OF RESERVOIRS" BY JAMES E. GARTON; JERRY WILHM; AND DEBORAH BARKER. FOR INFORMATION ON CHICKASAW NATIONAL RECREATION AREA CONTACT RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AT CHICKASAW NRA P.O. BOX 201 SULPHUR OK 73086. TEL (405) 6223165.
