MonitoringLocationDescriptionText Chaco Wash is an intermittently flowing stream that runs through the middle of Chaco Culture National Historic Park for 16 miles from east to west. Water samples were collected about 100 feet downstream of the bridge near the visitor center. Chaco Wash supports Chaco Culture National Historic Park principal riparian community and indirectly contributed to the original development of the park's archeological features. Agricultural and industrial activities occur in the Chaco Wash watershed. Wildlife use this stream as a water source and water samples provide information about the waterquality.
