MonitoringLocationDescriptionText The station is located on the Monument Basin Utah 7.5 minute series (topographic) quadrangle. The site is a rise about 400 meters upstream of the Colorado River in Canyonlands National Park. The site was selected to be above groundwater influence of the Colorado River. During sampling this site was a flowing stream; however due to its historical ephemeral nature; rise is the appropriate classification. Bacteriological samples were held longer than 30 hours. The data are from the report "Water Resources Descriptions and Data Base Canyonlands National Park Needles District and Adjacent BLM Lands" prepared by Ecosystems Research Institute (October 1984).
