MonitoringLocationDescriptionText SITE IS LOCATED ON THE OAK HILL FLORIDA 7.5 MINUTE SERIES (TOPOGRAPHIC) QUADRANGLE. IT IS LOCATED IN MOSQUITO LAGOON IN THE NORTHWEST SECTION OF THE PARK NEAR OAK HILL WHICH IS AN AREA OF POSSIBLE POLLUTION SOURCES. THE STATION IS SITUATED BETWEEN TWO VOLUSIA COUNTY WATER SAMPLING STATIONS (#17 AND #18). SURFACE WATER HAS BEEN SAMPLED ON 12 OCCASIONS SINCE JULY 1991 ON A BIMONTHLY SCHEDULE. SEDIMENT AND COLIFORM FROM SURFACE WATER SAMPLING BEGAN IN SEPTEMBER 1991 AND ALSO FOLLOWED A BIMONTHLY SCHEDULE EXCEPT FOR ONE COLIFORM COLLECTION MISSED IN MARCH 1993. DATA WERE COLLECTED BY BIONETICS/DYNAMAC UNDER CONTRACT TO NATIONAL PARK SERVICE. SITE IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF JOHN STINER RESOURCE MANAGEMENTAT CANAVERAL NATIONAL SEASHORE 308 JULIA STREET TITUSVILLE FLORIDA 327963521 PH.(407)2671110.
