| MonitoringLocationDescriptionText | SITE IS LOCATED ON THE OAK HILL FLORIDA 7.5 MINUTE SERIES (TOPOGRAPHIC) QUADRANGLE. IT IS LOCATED IN THE NORTHERN SECTION OF THE PARK IN MOSQUITO LAGOON AND IS THE EASTERN MOST STATION OF A TRANSECT RUNNING IN A WEST TO EAST DIRECTION. IT IS ON THE EAST EDGE OF THE LAGOON ALONG THE OUTER EDGE OF THE SUBMERGED AQUATIC VEGETATION IN SHALLOW WATER. DATA WERE COLLECTED ONLY ON DAYS WHEN WEATHER MET CERTAIN CRITERIA(SEA STATES OF LESS THAN 2 AND NO EXCESSIVE RAIN OR LIGHTNING). A LORAN C WAS USED TO LOCATE STATIONS. SURFACE SAMPLES WERE COLLECTED AT ONE OF THE THREE STATIONS ON THE TRANSECT(3A 3B OR 3C) ON A BIWEEKLY SCHEDULE IN JULY 1991 UNTIL JUNE 1992. DATA WERE COLLECTED BY BIONETICS/DYNAMAC UNDER CONTRACT TO NPS.
