MonitoringLocationDescriptionText SITE IS LOCATED ON THE OAK HILL FLORIDA 7.5 MINUTE SERIES (TOPOGRAPHIC) QUADRANGLE. IT IS LOCATED IN THE NORTHERN SECTION OF THE PARK IN MOSQUITO LAGOON AND IS THE MIDDLE STATION OF A TRANSECT RUNNING IN A WEST TO EAST DIRECTION. IT IS IN THE CENTRAL BASIN OF THE LAGOON AND IS IN THE VICINITY OF A LARGE SEAGRASS MEADOW WITH WATER DEPTH LIKELY EXCEEDING 2 METERS. DATA WERE COLLECTED ONLY ON DAYS WHEN WEATHER MET CERTAIN CRITERIA(SEA STATES OF LESS THAN 2 AND NO EXCESSIVE RAIN OR LIGHTNING). A LORAN C WAS USED LOCATE STATIONS. SURFACE SAMPLES WERE COLLECTED AT ONE OF THE THREE STATIONS ON THE TRANSECT(3A 3B OR 3C) ON A BIWEEKLY SCHEDULE BEGINNING IN 7/91 UNTIL 6/92. DATA WERE COLLECTED BY BIONETICS/DYNAMAC UNDER CONTRACT TO NPS. SITE IS RESPONSIBILITY OF JOHN STINERRESOURCE MANAGEMENTAT CANAVERAL NATIONAL SEASHORE 308 JULIA STREET TITUSVILLE FLORIDA 327963521 PH.(407)2671110.
