MonitoringLocationDescriptionText SITE IS LOCATED ON THE WILSON FLORIDA 7.5 MINUTE SERIES (TOPOGRAPHIC) QUADRANGLE. IT IS LOCATED IN THE SOUTHERN SECTION OF THE PARK IN MOSQUITO LAGOON AND IS THE MIDDLE STATION OF A TRANSECT RUNNING IN A WEST TO EAST DIRECTION. IT IS IN THE CENTRAL BASIN OF THE LAGOON WHERE NO SEAGRASS WAS OBSERVED AND WATER DEPTH LIKELY EXCEEDED 2 METERS. DATA WERE COLLECTED ONLY ON DAYS WHEN WEATHER MET CERTAIN CRITERIA(SEA STATES OF LESS THAN 2 AND NO EXCESSIVE RAIN OR LIGHTNING). A LORAN C WAS USED TO LOCATE STATIONS. SURFACE SAMPLES WERE COLLECTED AT ONE OF THE THREE STATIONS ON THE TRANSECT(1A 1B OR 1C) ON A BIWEEKLY SCHEDULE BEGINNING IN JULY 1991 UNTIL JUNE 1992. DATA WERE COLLECTED BY BIONETICS/DYNAMAC UNDER CONTRACT TO NPS. SITE IS RESPONSIBILITY OF JOHN STINERRESOURCE MANAGEMENTAT CANAVERAL NATIONAL SEASHORE 308 JULIA STREET TITUSVILLE FLORIDA 327963521 PH.(407)2671110.
