MonitoringLocationDescriptionText THE STATION IS LOCATED ON THE DEAD INDIAN HILL MONTANA 7.5 MINUTE SERIES (TOPOGRAPHIC) QUADRANGLE. THE SITE IS ON BIGHORN LAKE APPROXIMATELY 1/4 MILE WEST OF DEAD INDIAN HILL. SAMPLES FOR THIS SITE WERE COLLECTED IN MAY; AUGUST; AND OCTOBER 1975. SAMPLES WERE ANALYZED FOR CHLOROPHYLL A AND SECCHI DEPTH. AN INVERSE RELATIONSHIP WAS OBSERVED BETWEEN PLANKTONIC ALGAL CHLOROPHYLL AND SECCHI DEPTH. THE RESULTS WERE PUBLISHED IN THE REPORT "EVALUATION OF WATER QUALITY AND RATE OF SEDIMENTATION IN BIGHORN LAKE; BIGHORN CANYON NATIONAL RECREATION AREA" BY G. FRED LEE AND R.
