| MonitoringLocationDescriptionText | Capulin Creek below Base Camp is a perennial stream in Bandelier National Monument and flows northwest to southeast and almost north to south where water samples were collected. Water samples were collected from Capulin Creek downstream of the Base Camp and the horse corrals. Wildlife and backpackers and NPS personnel use this stream as a water source and water samples provide information about the waterquality. There are also concerns about contaminants in perched aquifers, visitor impacts, fire effects, native fishreintroduction, adjacent land management, and atmospheric deposition. |
