MonitoringLocationDescriptionText This station is at Tanapag Maui II Well. The site also is named Starch Factory Infiltration Tunnel and is approximately 500 feet east of Starch Factory Springs. No coordinates were given in the source. The well was plotted using the hand-drawn map of approximately 1:13000 scale in the source. The hole was 6 by 8 feet, 100-foot long shaft on gentle incline with one 752-foot long main tunnel and one 220-foot long lateral tunnel. The first 338 feet of the main tunnel was timbered 6 by 8 feet. The well was abandoned after the tunnel caved in near the foot of portal section in March 1950.
