SINKING SPRING IS LOCATED IN A PIT NORTHEAST OF BOUNDARY OAK AND WEST OF THE VISITOR ROAD. WATER FLOWS FROM TWO ELEVATIONS WITHIN THE SPRING WHICH IS PRIMARILY COMPOSED OF FRACTURED LIMESTONE OUTCROPS. THE LOWER SPRING IS APPROXIMATELY 7 FEET BELOW THE UPPER SPRING. RUNOFF FROM THE HEADQUARTERS' PARKING LOT DRAINS DIRECTLY INTO SINKING SPRING.
