THE SITE IS ON LAKE SUPERIOR APPROXIMATELY 2 MILES SOUTH OF LONG ISLAND. SAMPLES FOR THIS SITE WERE COLLECTED MONTHLY OVER THE SUMMER OF 1996. SAMPLES WERE ANALYZED FOR PHYSICAL PARAMETERS AND NUTRIENT CONCENTRATIONS. THE RESULTS ARE IN "LAKE SUPERIOR FOOD WEB APOSTLE ISLANDS ONRW" BY LAKE SUPERIOR ECOSYSTEM RESEARCH CENTER; MICHIGAN TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY (JUNE 1997). THE DATA WERE RECEIVED IN DIGITAL FORMAT FROM NATURAL RESOURCES AT APOSTLE ISLANDS NATIONAL LAKESHORE. LAT/LONG COORDINATES ARE THE CENTROID OF THREE LORAN READINGS (1 FOR EACH MONTH SAMPLED).
