MonitoringLocationDescriptionText | Site 2 is located at the discharge of a concrete culvert that receives most of its flow from the iron mound. This location demonstrates changes in water chemistry as ground water, undersaturated in dissolved oxygen and containing substantial ferrous iron, moves as sheet flow over the iron mound. As expected, a substantial portion of the iron is oxidized and some is removed while flowing over the surface. |
